KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 18): TechStore Bhd (KL:TECHSTORE) views AI, including China-based platform DeepSeek, as a complement rather than a competitor to its enterprise IT services, according to managing director Eugene Tan Hock Lim.

"AI and robotics are not competitors for us. We view them as solutions and leverage points that can help us strengthen and diversify our offerings," said Tan during press conference on Tuesday after the company’s debut on the ACE Market.

TechStore's approach to the integration of AI and robotics reflects a strategic intent to innovate and adapt to the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

While the company remains grounded in its home market of Malaysia, Tan also hinted at future ambitions to expand internationally.

"We will continue to focus on strengthening our presence here, but our vision includes expanding beyond local borders. The IPO platform is a crucial step in realising that vision," Tan added.

Looking ahead, Tan also touched on potential plans for a future move to the main market, a step that would mark the next phase in TechStore’s growth trajectory.

The company is principally involved in the provision of enterprise IT services, primarily IT security and automation solutions to support customers’ operations.
