PETALING JAYA, (Feb 7): Tropicana Corp Bhd (KL:TROP) and Temokin Development Sdn Bhd have handed over their 100% sold freehold residential project Tropicana Miyu located at Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The project attained an 85% score in the Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC).
According to the press statement on Friday, a total of 271 homeowners were contacted for early handover since November 2024. The joint-venture condominium development has a gross development value of RM261 million, featuring 11 types of layouts with unit built-ups ranging from 600 sq ft (square feet) to 2,183 sq ft, on a span of 2.8 acres in Section 17, Petaling Jaya.
Launched in 2020, Tropicana Miyu recorded strong market demand, with over 60% of units sold within the first six months. The project reached full take-up within 18 months.
“Our vision for Tropicana Miyu was to provide a well-balanced living environment that blends history with modernity. Its strategic location and connectivity were key factors driving its success. Through our collaboration with Temokin, we are pleased to celebrate the timely VP (vacant possession) handover,” said Tropicana Corp managing director of marketing and sales and business development Ixora Ang in the statement.
Meanwhile, Temokin executive director Jeremiah Tan Chien Yih highlighted the strength of the partnership with Tropicana Corp. “Achieving 100% take-up and a QLASSIC score of 85% is a testament to the quality of this joint development.”
Tropicana Miyu incorporates various sustainable features, including low-emissivity glass for Level 7’s common areas, a rainwater harvesting system, bicycle racks, and car charging bays.
Some of the nearby amenities include educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and retail centres. The development also offers good connectivity via major highways, such as the SPRINT, LDP, and Federal Highway, with the TTDI MRT station within walking distance.
