KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 24): BBCC Development Sdn Bhd has officially opened the Tuah 1895 dining and lifestyle hub at the Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) mixed-use development in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Developed by BBCC Development, which is a joint-venture company between Eco World Development Group Bhd (KL:ECOWLD) (EcoWorld Malaysia), UDA Holdings Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund, the 19.4-acre BBCC comprises residential suites, offices, hotels, a mall and entertainment offerings.
As part of the bigger BBCC, Tuah 1895 has a total net lettable area of 45,000 sq ft, consisting of eight lots. To date, seven lots already have confirmed tenants including Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Crab; AS I AM by Thailand’s Michelin-rated Chef Ton; Ting Shan modern Chinese cuisine; Chef Kecik Boulangerie @ Tuah 1895; Pak Tok local and nyonya cuisine; Hock Kee Kopitiam; Crafty’s Bar & Lounge; and a boutique fitness centre called MORPH by Kamileon.
In his welcome address, BBCC Development CEO Sri Ram Sivasambu said, “Tuah 1895 is more than just a place to dine. It is a space where people come together to enjoy exceptional food, connect with one another, and experience the vibrant energy of Kuala Lumpur. With every new addition, BBCC evolves and grows to become a lifestyle destination.”
At the opening ceremony, Sri Ram also revealed that BBCC is set to welcome another new space next month. “Beyond Tuah 1895, BBCC continues to elevate its offerings with The Labs, an entertainment hub that has already established itself for live performances and experiences.
“In February, we will be unveiling Immersify KL, a 30,000 sq ft multi-dimensional media art gallery designed to captivate visitors with immersive and interactive experiences. Together, these highlights further solidify BBCC as the destination for urban culture and lifestyle,” he added.
To date, about 80% of the master plan has been developed.
