KUANTAN (Jan 21): The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has reminded the state government to remain attentive to the people’s issues, emphasising that every policy and decision made must be rooted in the interests of the community and environmental sustainability.

His Royal Highness said the people are the backbone of a state’s strength, and it is a collective responsibility to ensure that everyone, regardless of their social status, can live in peace, prosperity, and harmony.

“Listen to their voices, be alert to their problems and needs. I call on all departments and agencies under the state government to take proactive steps to facilitate bureaucratic processes for the people.

“An efficient and people-friendly approach will help ease their burdens and demonstrate our commitment to delivering the best services,” His Highness said during the ceremony for the presentation of the instrument of extension for the appointment of Pahang state executive council (exco) members at Istana Abdulaziz here.

In this regard, Al-Sultan Abdullah urged the exco members to continue working hard and performing their duties with full commitment, as the trust placed in them is not just a mandate but a great responsibility to ensure the well-being of the people and the continued progress of the state.

“Every council member must always prioritise the interests of the state of Pahang. Loyalty to this state must surpass all other interests.

“Pahang is our homeland, and all efforts and sacrifices must be directed toward the development of this state and the Sultanate of Pahang,” Al-Sultan Abdullah said.

At the same time, His Highness also congratulated Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail for his effort in successfully increasing the state’s revenue to RM1.144 billion.

His Highness described the achievement as a testament to the efficiency of the state government’s administration and the hard work of Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy and the exco members in driving Pahang’s economic progress.

“However, we need more foreign direct investment [FDI] to further strengthen the state’s economic standing. I hope efforts to attract foreign investors will be intensified for the benefit of the people and the state,” he added.
