KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 13): MNRB Holdings Bhd (KL:MNRB), a provider of reinsurance, retakaful and takaful services, has appointed Wan Ahmad Najib Wan Ahmad Lotfi as the president and chief executive officer of its family takaful subsidiary, effective from Tuesday (Jan 14).
Wan Ahmad Najib will assume leadership of Takaful Ikhlas Family Bhd, succeeding Muhammad Fikri Mohamad Rawi, who has completed his tenure, according to MNRB in a statement on Monday. Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) holds a 41.88% stake in MNRB.
MNRB chairman Datuk Johar Che Mat said the company is “confident that Wan Ahmad Najib’s expertise, vision, and leadership” uniquely position him to steer Takaful Ikhlas Family into its next phase of growth.
Wan Ahmad Najib brings over 20 years of experience in the takaful and Islamic finance sectors, according to MNRB. He is recognised for his proven track record in strategic planning, inclusive takaful initiatives, and digital transformation, it added.
Prior to joining Takaful Ikhlas Family, Wan Ahmad Najib served as the chief distribution officer of FWD Takaful Bhd.
Shares of MNRB fell two sen to RM2.14 on Monday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM1.68 billion.
