KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 13): PropertyGuru Group, Southeast Asia’s property technology (proptech) company, has appointed Lewis Ng as chief executive officer, and Trevor Mather as chairman.

In a statement on Monday, PropertyGuru said outgoing CEO Hari V Krishnan will be senior advisor when Ng takes over in March 2025.

Hari played a pivotal role in transforming PropertyGuru from a start-up into a regional proptech leader, achieving significant milestones when the company was publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and during its acquisition by EQT Private Capital Asia.

The company said Ng, who has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, held leadership roles at global brands such as Apple, TripAdvisor, Carousell, and PropertyGuru.

Ng was previously PropertyGuru’s managing director for Singapore and chief business officer, and was instrumental in driving growth and fostering a customer-centric culture.

Ng said the company’s journey over the past decade was remarkable under Hari, and that he (Ng) is excited to build on this strong foundation.

“I am honoured to lead PropertyGuru into its next chapter and work alongside our talented teams to continue driving growth and delivering value to our customers across Southeast Asia,” Ng said.

Meanwhile, Mather hailed PropertyGuru’s position as a leading proptech platform, with an impressive track record of delivering value and driving growth.

He said Hari had laid a solid foundation for the group.
