KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 23): Supercomnet Technologies Bhd (KL:SCOMNET) announced on Monday that its managing director, James Shiue Jong-Zone, has been redesignated as the company's executive director.
Meanwhile, his son, Kevin Hsueh Chih-Yu, has been redesignated from executive director to managing director. The changes take effect immediately, according to Supercomnet’s bourse filings.
Jong-Zone holds a 13.65% direct stake in the wire and cable manufacturer, followed by his wife Hsueh Chih-Yu, with 12.71%, and their son Shiue Jyh-Jeh @ Jerry — Chih-Yu’s brother — who owns an 11.97% stake, according to annual report data compiled by AskEdge.
In a separate filing, Supercomnet announced the appointment of Cheah Ho Wee Hock as independent non-executive director.
Cheah previously held senior management positions at an international petroleum engineers' society, serving as HR and accounting manager as well as senior business services manager, reporting directly to the managing director.
Shares of Supercomnet closed up one sen or 0.74% to RM1.37 on Monday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM1.17 billion. The counter is up 12.3% this year.
