KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 19): Catcha Digital Bhd (KL:CATCHA) has announced its acquisition of a 70% stake in Tastefully Malaysia Sdn Bhd for RM7.6 million cash, to strengthen its position in the integrated digital and offline advertising space.

In a bourse filing on Thursday, Catcha Digital said the RM7.6 million cash consideration will be paid in four tranches over 36 months, contingent on achieving profit after tax (PAT) targets of RM0.5 million, RM1.1 million, RM1.4 million, and RM1.6 million across the respective periods.

The acquisition would create cross-selling opportunities by integrating its digital advertising capabilities with Tastefully’s established in-person advertising solutions, it said.

Through this, Catcha Digital is able to offer offline advertising solutions to its clients, while Tastefully can leverage Catcha Digital’s robust digital expertise and audience base to enhance its offerings, particularly to its core clientele of food and beverage (F&B) brands.

“What particularly attracted us was Tastefully’s ability to execute large-scale consumer expo events across Malaysia, and their track record of consistently delivering value to both exhibitors and visitors,” said Catcha Digital chairman Patrick Grove.

“As brands seek more integrated advertising solutions, we believe this combination will create compelling opportunities for our existing advertisers, while opening up new avenues for growth,” Grove added.

Founded 13 years ago, Tastefully is a leading organiser of consumer food expos in Malaysia. To date, it has conducted over 100 expos, drawing 1.2 million annual visitors and cultivating relationships with 21,000 exhibitors.

Its events are held at major venues, including Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, and Sabah International Convention Centre, fostering partnerships with brands like Beacon Mart and Guardian, as well as government agencies such as Lembaga Koko Malaysia.
