<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 19): Shares of YTL Corporation Bhd (KL:<a href="/askedge/klse/4677" class="ce-stock" target="_blank">YTL</a>) and its associate YTL Power International Bhd (KL:<a href="/askedge/klse/6742" class="ce-stock" target="_blank">YTLPOWR</a>) soared in early trade on Thursday, a day after YTL Power said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has cleared the group of any wrongdoing in the 1BestariNet project.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In the first 15 minutes of trading, YTL gained nearly 9% or 19 sen to RM2.33, while YTL Power rose nearly 8% or 28 sen to RM3.94.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>On Wednesday, YTL Power said MACC has cleared the group's 60% owned subsidiary, YTL Communications Sdn Bhd, of any wrongdoing in connection with the 1BestariNet project.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>YTL Power said it was informed of this by MACC after concluding an investigation into the multi-billion ringgit project undertaken by YTL Communications.</p></div>
