KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 17): Prasarana Malaysia Bhd, the operator of Rapid KL services, has announced a temporary suspension of My50 pass renewal services at all rail, BRT, and Rapid KL bus hub customer service counters, starting from Dec 23, 2024, until Jan 31 next year.
My50 travel pass allows unlimited travel for 30 days on all Rapid Penang and Rapid KL rail and bus services for RM50.
The suspension of renewal services refers to “early renewal before actual expiry date” usually practised by customers, as they have options to renew the pass up to seven days before the actual expiration date.
While early renewals will be temporarily unavailable, new My50 passes can still be purchased at all counters without disruption, Prasarana said in a statement.
“Current subscribers must utilise their pass until the expiration date, and only then they will be able to re-subscribe to their My50 pass,” a Prasarana spokesperson explained, when contacted.
Prasarana, in its statement, noted that the suspension is to facilitate an upgrade to the My50 pass sales system.
This system improvement aims to enhance the platform's capacity to better serve the growing number of My50 pass users, Prasarana said.
