EVENING 5: Anwar: MOH to expedite DRG system, shift to generic drugs as medical costs increase

1. The Ministry of Health is working on expediting the implementation of the diagnosis-related group system, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, adding that the current cost of medical services in private hospitals is "too high and unreasonable".

2. SkyWorld Development Bhd has signed an agreement with the Penang state agencies to jointly develop the country's largest affordable housing project that is valued at RM13 billion.  

3.  Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp and CIMB Group Holdings Bhd are vying for a controlling stake in Bank Pan Indonesia, three people with knowledge of the matter said.

4. Gamuda Bhd is acquiring a 20% stake in Cloud Space Sdn Bhd and is also teaming up with Dagang NeXchange Bhd to provide on-premise Google Cloud services to Malaysian businesses and government agencies.

5. Salaries in Malaysia are projected to increase by 5% across all industries in 2025, and close to a quarter of companies plan to raise headcount next year, a survey showed.
