Tropicana Corp partners Banyan Group to develop first branded residences in Johor

PETALING JAYA (Dec 10): Property developer Tropicana Corp Bhd (KL:TROP) on Tuesday signed an agreement with Singapore-based Banyan Group to develop the first branded residential development in Johor named Skypark Kepler. The development has a gross development value of RM2.1 billion.

As part of the RM80 billion, 163-acre Lido Waterfront Boulevard township development by Tropicana Corp, the four-acre Skypark Kepler comprises 1,596 fully furnished serviced apartment units housed across two 54-storey buildings. There will be over 40 facilities provided.

With layouts of one to three bedrooms, the units will have built-ups ranging from 436 to 807 sq ft. Prices start from RM790,000 or RM1,800 psf, and the residential project is expected to be completed in four to five years.

“Today marks another important milestone for Tropicana Corp as we witness the signing of our first residential project with Banyan Group and our strategic partnership with Samsung and Kohler. Skypark Kepler stands out as a coastal jewel in Johor, offering comprehensive conveniences and smart city living. With Skypark Kepler, we want to curate transformative for our property purchasers where they can enjoy luxurious lifestyles within a sustainable environment,” said Tropicana Corp group chief executive officer Datuk Mark Rozario in his speech at the signing ceremony.

“We are pleased to partner with Tropicana Corp to introduce Skypark Kepler, our first in Malaysia. This will be the eighth property under the Skypark portfolio,” said Banyan Group managing director of property development Stuart Reading.

He added that homeowners will be able to enjoy access to Banyan Group’s Sanctuary Club, an exclusive owner’s programme that offers privileges and benefits across Banyan Group’s hotels, resorts, spas and other lifestyle experiences.

Additionally, owners can also choose to participate in Banyan Living, the group’s rental and management services programme. The group will be unveiling its rental platform in the coming months that will enable anyone to book branded and unbranded residences with no membership requirements. It is also designed to facilitate rentals of its own branded residences and those of other investors and developers under Banyan Group.

In Tuesday’s event, Tropicana Corp also inked brand partnerships with Samsung and Kohler to offer luxury home fittings, appliances and sanitary wares for the project.
