KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 6): IT company FSBM Holdings Bhd (KL:FSBM) said it has teamed up with an American technology firm to develop a consumer-to-manufacturer (C2M) platform for the Malaysian and Southeast Asian market.

FSBM, which signed the collaboration agreement with Synergies Intelligent Systems Inc on Friday, said the project seeks to transform how custom-machining parts are produced to empower businesses to achieve greater efficiency.

FSBM will help launch the C2M platform in Malaysia by providing IT solutions, onboarding clients, and supporting operations. It will also introduce the platform to Southeast Asia through a regional licensing agreement.

Meanwhile, Synergies, known for its no-code data analytics platforms, will provide the technical backbone of the project, with the C2M platform scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of 2025.

Payment milestones for the partnership range between US$500,000 (RM2.21 million) and US$600,000, with 55% payable within seven days and the balance tied to revenue milestones, which also includes a revenue-sharing component.

“The C2M platform will be rolled out in three phases, starting with an instant quoting system for common machining processes like sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining (phase one)," said FSBM’s managing director Pang Kiew Kun in a statement.

“Next, it will expand to include mold quotations (phase two), and ultimately, it will utilise artificial intelligence (AI) to provide project-level quotes for complex, multi-part orders, streamlining the entire design and the production process (phase three),” he added.

FSBM’s major focus is its IT services division, which offers a variety of services, including cybersecurity, smart manufacturing solutions, platform design and development, technical support and maintenance, and refurbishing and lease or rental services.

FSBM’s share price closed unchanged at 23 sen, valuing the company at RM117.68 million.
