KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 22): MNRB Holdings Bhd (KL:MNRB), in which the Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) holds a 41.88% stake, has appointed Datuk Rudy @ Rodzila Che Lamin as interim president and group chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, effective Friday.
In a filing on Friday, the reinsurer said that Rudy is replacing Zaharudin Daud, who stepped down following the expiry of his contract. Zaharudin, who has been with the company for almost four years, has decided not to continue his service with the company.
“Rudy has over 28 years of combined experience in the financial, banking and insurance industries,” MNRB said.
His past experiences include being the president and CEO of Takaful Ikhlas General Bhd, as well as executive vice president and head of regional distribution in Etiqa Group — the insurance division of Malayan Banking Bhd (KL:MAYBANK).
He has a professional qualification from the Association of International Accountants in the UK and holds a master of management from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
Shares of MNRB closed unchanged at RM2.20 on Friday, valuing the group at RM1.72 billion. The counter has gained 80.33% year-to-date.
