KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 18): Pecca Group Bhd (KL:PECCA) has on Monday declared a special dividend of 1.5 sen per share for the financial year ended June 30, 2024 (FY2024), which amounts to RM11.28 million.
This comes after the car upholstery maker posted a record high net profit of RM55 million in FY2024, 55.4% more than the RM35.4 million it made in FY2023. The surge in profit was mainly driven by higher production cost efficiency, in addition to sustained demand for the group’s products and services.
Pecca’s total revenue in FY2024 rose 9.1% to RM242.42 million from RM222.26 million a year ago.
The company is cash rich too. As at end-June, Pecca had a net cash balance of RM147.43 million, based on cash and bank balances of RM153.67 million and total borrowings of RM6.24 million.
With the latest dividend, payable on Dec 13, Pecca’s total payout for FY2024 amounts to 6.5 sen per share.
Based on the company’s full year earnings per share of 7.32 sen, the dividend payout ratio for FY2024 stands at 88.79%.
Shares in Pecca closed unchanged at RM1.29 on Monday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM970.08 million. Year-to-date, the stock is relatively unchanged, with an indicative dividend yield of 3.88%.
