SINGAPORE (Nov 16): Tropicana Corporation Bhd (KL:TROP) has previewed the Skypark Kepler branded residence at Hilton Orchard, Singapore on Saturday. The branded serviced residence is the first phase of Tropicana’s 163-acre Lido Waterfront Boulevard mixed-use development in Johor.

Skypark Kepler, with a gross development value of RM2.1 billion, will have residential and commercial components. For the residential segment, there will be a total of 1,596 fully furnished units with built-up sizes ranging from 400 sq ft to 800 sq ft.

The selling price starts from RM2,001 psf, while the maintenance fee is 55 sen psf.

Meanwhile, the commercial component, which is located below the residential units, will consist of 16 retail units. Tropicana chief executive officer Ong Chou Wen pointed out that the developer will keep the retail units to ensure the right tenancy mix, and that more information on the retail units will be announced at a later date.

In addition, Tropicana also formed a partnership with Banyan Group, where the Singapore hospitality company will manage the project and provide its rental platform, Banyan Living, to its purchasers who want to rent out their units.

"We understand that every owner has a different preference on the [rental period] and Banyan Living can cater to that. That’s why we choose to partner with Banyan Group," said Tropicana managing director Ixora Ang.

Lido Waterfront Boulevard is an RM80 billion mixed-use development situated on reclaimed land, located 4km away from the upcoming Bukit Chagar Rapid Transit System (RTS) station.

The project will have seven components, namely residential, commercial, wellness, education, hospitality, recreational and lifestyle.

To be completed in 2026, Ong pointed out that the RTS station will reduce travel time to and from Johor Bahru and Singapore to just 15 minutes.
