<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a bourse filing on Friday, the Sabah-based company said the proposed new name had been approved for use by the Companies Commission of Malaysia on Nov 8, and reserved till April 7 next year for it to claim.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The proposed company name change is subject to shareholder's approval at an extraordinary general meeting to be scheduled, it said, adding a circular with details of the proposed change will be sent to shareholders in due course.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Shares of Bahvest closed 1.5 sen or 1.8% higher at 86.5 sen on Friday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM1.58 billion. Year-to-date, the stock has risen 73%.</p></div>
