KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 15): Gold mining company Bahvest Resources Bhd (KL:BAHVEST) wants to change its name to Aumas Resources Bhd.
In a bourse filing on Friday, the Sabah-based company said the proposed new name had been approved for use by the Companies Commission of Malaysia on Nov 8, and reserved till April 7 next year for it to claim.
The proposed company name change is subject to shareholder's approval at an extraordinary general meeting to be scheduled, it said, adding a circular with details of the proposed change will be sent to shareholders in due course.
Shares of Bahvest closed 1.5 sen or 1.8% higher at 86.5 sen on Friday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM1.58 billion. Year-to-date, the stock has risen 73%.
