KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 15): Majuperak Holdings Bhd (KL:MJPERAK) said its group chief executive officer Syed Agil Syed Hashim will be stepping down with effect from Nov 30, after holding the post for two years.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday, the group said Syed Agil, 52, had completed his service contract.
It added that effective Dec 1, a board committee will be managing the day-to-day operations until a new CEO joins the group.
Syed Agil was previously Majuperak's chief financial officer before he was re-designated as CEO on Nov 1, 2022, according to the group's 2023 annual report.
Majuperak's share price ended two sen or 8.7% lower at 21 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM60 million.
