KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 15): Malaysia’ current account surplus narrowed to RM2.2 billion (US$491 million) in the third quarter of 2024, from RM3 billion in the April-to-June period (2Q2024), Bank Negara Malaysia and government data showed on Friday.
Portfolio investment saw a net inflow of RM3.6 billion in the July-to-September period (3Q2024), compared to a net outflow of RM21.7 billion in the previous quarter.
