KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 8): Main Market-bound bottle water producer Life Water Bhd (KL:LWSABAH) booked a net profit of RM7.49 million on revenue of RM42.59 million for its first quarter ended Sept 30, 2024 (1Q2025).
Within the beverages segment, drinking water was the largest revenue contributor for the Sabah-based company, accounting for RM36.19 million, or 84.99% of total revenue.
Pre-tax profit stood at RM8.96 million, its filing showed, representing a pre-tax margin of 17.6%. There are no comparative figures for the preceding corresponding period as there is no interim financial report prepared for the comparative period.
Life Water's listing has been scheduled for Nov 13, at 65 sen per share, which values the group with a market capitalisation of RM307.57 million.
On 2 July 2024, the group declared an interim single tier dividend of RM0.597 per ordinary share amounting to RM4 million in respect of the financial year ended June 30, 2024 (FY2024).
Operationally, the group is on track to enhance its production capacity with the commissioning of the new Keningau drinking water manufacturing plant, scheduled to begin operations in December 2024.
Once operational, the plant will increase the group's total production capacity to 448 million litres annually, from its existing output of 389 million litres for drinking water and 37 million litres of carbonated drinks across three plants in Sabah.
Life Water markets its products under brands like 'K2', 'Sasa', 'Sabah Water' (drinking water), as well as '2more' and 'TRITONiC' (carbonated drinks).
The group also manufactures private-label drinking water for petrol stations, hypermarkets, wholesalers and hotels. Aside from beverages, Life Water also sells plastic bottles, containers and battery water.
