KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 15): Yinson Holdings Bhd (KL:YINSON) announced on Tuesday the appointment of Lim Poh Seong as its independent non-executive director with immediate effect.

Lim, 57, currently serves as the independent non-executive director for biscuit maker Hup Seng Industries Bhd (KL:HUPSENG), renewable energy player Samaiden Group Bhd (KL:SAMAIDEN), and vegetable wholesaler and distributor Farm Price Holdings Bhd (KL:FPHB).

Yinson said Lim has over 25 years of experience in the fields of auditing, accounting, corporate finance and overall administration of business operations. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

“His extensive experience across a diverse range of businesses, as well as on the boards of various Malaysian listed companies as an independent director, will be of significant value to the group, as we continue to build strategic partnerships that will drive growth across our businesses and unlock greater value for our stakeholders,” said Yinson group executive chairman Lim Han Weng in a statement.

Shares of Yinson closed down three sen or 1.10% at RM2.70 on Tuesday, valuing the energy infrastructure and technology company at RM8.08 billion.
