KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 14): Construction outfit Vizione Holdings Bhd (KL:VIZIONE) said the group is being sued for RM3.3 million by a firm for alleged breach of a consultancy agreement signed in 2018 relating to a land sale.

The lawsuit filed by JL-Edison Holdings Sdn Bhd names Vizione, its managing director Datuk Ng Aun Hooi and its wholly owned subsidiary Zenith Urban Development Sdn Bhd as defendants, according to the group's bourse filing on Monday.

JL-Edision in its suit claims it was approached by Zenith Urban Development to secure a purchaser for a piece of land in Penang.

After several unsuccessful attempts, JL-Edison ultimately facilitated the signing of a sale and purchase agreement with a buyer on Nov 11, 2019, according to the suit.

Vizione said JL-Edison allegedly failed to adhere to the mutually amended terms of the consultancy agreement, prompting Zenith Urban Development to take legal action to recover the balance of the purchase price from the final buyer.

JL-Edison, in its suit filed on Oct 4, is seeking a court declaration that the defendants are liable for the alleged breach of the consultancy agreement, and for the court to order the defendants to pay the firm RM3.3 million.

Vizione said the group has appointed lawyers to dispute the claims, which they regard as baseless.

The case management is scheduled for Tuesday (Oct 15).

Shares in Vizione settled unchanged at 16 sen on Monday, valuing the company at RM65.53 million. Year-to-date, Vizione is down by over 54%.
