KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 9): Key ASIC Bhd (KL:KEYASIC) has entered into a five-year collaboration agreement with Japanese system solution developer NSW Inc to develop the application-specific integrated circuit design business.
The partnership, which commenced on Oct 9, 2024 and will run until 2029, will help accelerate its growth and adoption of Internet of Things and artificial intelligence technologies at the silicon level.
In addition, NSW’s capabilities will allow the group to offer more complete and integrated solutions to the customers.
In return, Key ASIC complements NSW’s device development business perfectly well with its over 100 silicon proven IP ranging from 180nm to 5nm process technologies in various foundries.
NSW, a company listed on the Tokyo stock exchange, has capabilities to develop software applications, development of hardware systems including various devices and design of chip, providing total system development solutions to its customers.
Additionally, NSW provides the development of embedded/control system, device development, business applications, infrastructure construction and operation service, data centre and system operation and maintenance services.
The agreement is not expected to have a material effect on its earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing for the financial year ending May 31, 2025.
Key ASIC’s share price closed unchanged at five sen for a market capitalisation of RM70 million.
