KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): PMB Investment Bhd, an Islamic fund management company under Pelaburan Mara Bhd, has appointed Datuk Mohd Idzwan Izuddin Ab Rahman as its new chairman, effective Sept 30.
Idzwan, who has 12 years of experience in the finance and investment sectors, will serve a two-year term, the unit trust institution said in a statement on Friday.
“We are confident that Idzwan’s extensive expertise in both the public and private sectors will guide PMB Investment through its next phase of development, further solidifying our position as a leader in Islamic fund management,” PMB noted.
Prior to joining PMB, Idzwan held several senior executive roles, including executive director at building and industrial service engineering company Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd (KL:BINTAI) and financial company Invesco Capital Management Bhd.
He also served as the chief executive officer and director of CDMH Capital Sdn Bhd.
In addition, Idzwan has served as a board member of the Olympic Council of Malaysia and an adviser to Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN), where he chaired the procurement and investment committee.
He holds a bachelor's degree in information systems from Universiti Teknologi Mara and a master's degree in computer science/information technology from the University of Salford, the UK.
