KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): Tropicana Corp Bhd (KL:TROP) has topped off the RM932 million Edelweiss Serviced Residences, SOFO and Shoppes with a 100% take-up rate for the residential component and 60% for the retail units, according to a press statement on Thursday.

Edelweiss Serviced Residences, SOFO and Shoppes is the seventh phase of Tropicana Corp’s transit-oriented development (TOD) called Tropicana Gardens in Tropicana Indah, Selangor. It is targeted for completion by the fourth quarter of 2025.

Tropicana Corp deputy chief executive officer Khoo Thian Shyang said in the statement: “We are thankful that this innovative development is much sought-after in the market. Today’s topping-off ceremony demonstrated Tropicana’s ongoing commitment to deliver quality developments on time. Aligned with our ESG (environmental, social and governance) pillars, Edelweiss will receive a green building certification from our long-term partner, GreenRE.”

Upon completion, the project will receive a GreenRE Silver rating certification and will be assessed by workmanship certification body Qlassic (Quality Assessment System in Construction).

Tropicana Gardens TOD, which is a joint-venture project between Tropicana and the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), comprises five green-certified residential towers, a one million sq ft shopping mall called Tropicana Gardens Mall and an office tower.

Tropicana Gardens is accessible to New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (Dash), Penchala Link and Sprint Expressway. Additionally, Tropicana Gardens Mall is directly linked to MRT Surian station.
