PETALING JAYA (Sept 19): The Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) launched the Intellectual Property Catalogue today, designed to serve as a comprehensive guide to the processes and steps for registering intellectual property.

The catalogue covers numerous aspects of registration, including patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyrights, and geographical indications.

In a statement on Thursday, MyIPO highlighted that this publication is part of its initiative to facilitate access to essential information for protecting intellectual property.

The statement noted that with clear and practical information, this catalogue will serve as a primary guide to help entrepreneurs minimise the risks of intellectual property infringement and avoid mistakes during the registration process.

"This catalogue can help entrepreneurs ensure their innovations and creative works are protected, giving them a competitive edge in the market," it said.

The catalogue was launched by MyIPO director-general, Kamal Kormin, during the Innopreneur: IP Solutions for Entrepreneurs programme, a collaboration between Tekun Nasional and SME Corporation Malaysia.

Also present was MyIPO (Planning, Business Development & Marketing) assistant director-general, Tuan Sh. Arifin Sh. Mohd.
