KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 13): The new 200,000 sq ft 50 Electric Boulevard office building at the Battersea Power Station development in the UK will be home to global marketing agency Team Lewis, which will occupy the entire top floor measuring 10,500 sq ft of the Foster + Partners-designed workspace, according to a press release on Friday.
Relocating from Millbank Tower in Westminster, the agency's new global headquarters at 50 Electric Boulevard will come with views across the capital and its own private roof terrace of approximately 3,350 sq ft.
Over 1,500 sq ft of space will be dedicated to studios to provide in-house facilities for the design and production of marketing campaigns, the statement added.
Battersea Power Station Development Co Ltd head of asset management Sam Cotton said in the statement, “As a respected global marketing agency, Team Lewis and the world-class clients it represents will add a further creative dimension to 50 Electric Boulevard. With its very own private roof terrace and sweeping panoramic views of the Power Station and London skyline, the top floor of 50 Electric Boulevard is an inspirational setting for Team Lewis to continue delivering the powerful campaigns the agency is known for."
Cotton added that this is the second global business to make 50 Electric Boulevard its headquarters. "We see this as a real endorsement of the business community and broader offering we have worked hard to establish here."
This latest lease follows UK technology company SharkNinja taking 32,000 sq ft at 50 Electric Boulevard for its new EMEA headquarters.
Team Lewis senior vice president, EMEA, Alicia Solanki said the key attractions of Battersea Power Station for the agency are the proximity to transport and infrastructure as well as its green credentials and iconic backdrop. "Battersea Power Station is emblematic of the vibrant, bold and ambitious community our people, clients, and causes want to be part of. Needless to say, we’re looking forward to benefiting from Battersea Power Station’s world-class retail and catering offering too."
Team Lewis will join Battersea Power Station's office community with over 3,500 professionals from over 60 companies, including Apple, whose UK headquarters occupies 500,000 sq ft inside the Power Station and within IWG's flexible coworking offering, The Engine Room.
The Battersea Power Station development is owned by a consortium of Malaysian investors comprising Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP), S P Setia Bhd (KL:SPSETIA), and the Employees Provident Fund (EFP), with commercial assets within the Power Station building now being directly owned by Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) and EPF. Management of the development is being undertaken by British-based Battersea Power Station Development Company.
