KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 29): Divfex Bhd (KL:DFX) said its 51%-owned subsidiary Excel Commerce Solutions Sdn Bhd has secured a contract worth RM46.6 million to supply and install data centre equipment systems.
The contract, awarded by Extreme Broadband Sdn Bhd, will commence in September and is expected to be completed by February 2025, said DFX in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
While it did not clarify the quantum of the revenue that will be accrued to the group, DFX said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the revenue, earnings and net assets for the financial year ending June 30, 2025.
According to DFX, Excel was incorporated in 2005 to provide IT outsourcing services in Malaysia. "Over the years, Excel has established itself as a leading provider of managed network services, thanks to our expertise and commitment to delivering high-performance total solutions that ensure complete client satisfaction across various industries."
Meanwhile, Extreme Broadband is in the business of providing system integration, application development, network consultancy related services, data centre management, disaster recovery services, maintenance support and other IT related services in Malaysia. Its wholly-owned subsidiary Open DC Sdn Bhd operates four data centres in Malaysia currently.
At Thursday's closing bell, shares of DFX dropped half a sen or 3.45% to 14 sen, valuing the group at RM108.13 million.
