KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 27): KJTS Group Bhd (KL:KJTS) recorded a net profit of RM3.73 million, or 0.55 sen per share, in the second quarter ended June 30, 2024 (2QFY2024).
Meanwhile, quarterly revenue was at RM28.98 million, according to the company’s Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday.
For the first half, it recorded a net profit of RM2.89 million on the back of RM65.17 million revenue.
Under the current financial quarter under review, KTJS said its cooling energy segment and cleaning services segment within building support services were the main contributors to its revenue.
The cooling energy segment recorded a revenue of RM11.95 million, which is 41.25% of total revenue, while the cleaning services segment posted a revenue of RM14.23 million, which is 49.12% of total revenue.
The group holds a positive outlook going into the next quarter, with upcoming expansion plans accelerated by a continuously growing construction sector, wherein the government targets an expenditure of RM90 billion for the year.
The sector has already seen a significant increase in activity, with the value of work done rising by 20.2% to RM38.9 billion in the second quarter of 2024.
Moving forward, KJTS announced its emphasis on energy efficiency, incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its operations.
This is in light of the launch of the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), a government initiative to counteract rising energy costs and push for a sustainable energy infrastructure.
The group also announced its intention to strengthen its foothold and expand in other key operating regions outside of Malaysia, namely Singapore and Thailand.
