KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 26): Energy solutions provider T7 Global Bhd (KL:T7GLOBAL) said on Monday that it had secured a RM74.6 million contract from the Ministry of Defence (Mindef).
The contract was awarded to T7 Kemuncak Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of T7 Global, on July 31.
Under the contract, T7 Global will supply, deliver, test, and commission airfield surveillance radar (ASR) systems, communication systems, and related air traffic management (ATM) equipment to the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).
The contract spans five years from Aug 5, 2024 to Aug 4, 2029.
T7 Global expects the award to positively impact its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2024 and beyond.
“This award highlights our capability to deliver an integrated solution for the RMAF, including a high-performance air surveillance radar system that will enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency in airfield surveillance,” said T7 Global group chief executive officer Tan Kay Zhuin in a statement on Monday.
“This system will provide advanced situational awareness for the RMAF’s air traffic controllers and optimise airspace management,” he added.
At the time of writing on Monday, shares in T7 Global were traded one sen or 2.25% higher at 45.5 sen, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM372.16 million.
