KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 16): Lagenda Properties Bhd (KL:LAGENDA) said it has appointed Loh Lai Pui as its new chief financial officer (CFO) effective Friday.
Loh, who holds an accounting and finance degree from Lancaster University in the UK, has over 23 years of working experience, the Perak-based property developer said in an exchange filing.
“She has held various positions in finance, corporate finance and corporate strategy, in both private and public listed companies,” the group said.
Loh, 51, most recently served as CFO at property development and plantation company Ayer Holdings Bhd (KL:AYER) for nearly three years.
Lagenda’s CFO position was previously held by Lee Wei Jin, 41, who left the group Sept 30, 2023 to “pursue his personal interest”, according to an earlier announcement.
In May, Lagenda was in the spotlight after the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission detained its senior personnel in an investigation into the subdivision of Malay reserve land in Manjung, Perak.
The news led to the stock hitting limit down and took the share price to its lowest in nearly four years at 85.5 sen.
At market close on Friday, Lagenda closed four sen or 3.17% higher at RM1.30, valuing the group at RM1.09 billion.
