<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday, Asteel said the contract was awarded by Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd to a consortium comprising ASWK and Sarnatec Sdn Bhd.&nbsp;</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>“Each party will hold a 50% equity interest in the consortium, with profits and losses shared in proportion to their respective interests.&nbsp;</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>"Sarnatec will act as the lead partner, overseeing overall coordination, management and execution of the project, subject to consortium decisions,” Asteel said.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The group added that the project is expected to enhance its competitive position in future construction projects, particularly given the increasing demand for data centres in Malaysia.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the project is anticipated to contribute positively to the future earnings and earnings per share of the Asteel group,” it added.</p></div>
