KUALA LUMPUR (July 31): Information technology service firm Infomina Bhd (KL:INFOM) has bagged a three-year contract worth RM34.71 million to provide technology and infrastructure operations and support services to the National Registration Department (NRD).

The three-year contract was awarded by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday.

Infomina said the job involves the provision of key support to NRD's core application, including data and storage management, workload automation, report and spool management and holistic database analysis and management.  

The company expects the contract to contribute positively to its earnings during the contract period.

For its fourth quarter ended May 31, 2024, Informina reported a 9.89% rise in net profit to RM8.05 million on the back of a 1.71% rise in revenue to RM58.53 million, thanks to higher income contribution from its design and delivery of technology infrastructure solutions

In mid-June, Infomina's subsidiary Infomina (Thailand) Co Ltd bagged an order worth US$11.39 million (RM53.6 million) from a bank in Thailand to undertake technology application and infrastructure operations, maintenance and support services.    

Shares in Informina closed unchanged at RM1.39 on Wednesday, valuing the company at RM835.74 million.
