EVENING 5: High Court overturns earlier ruling, favours crypto platform Luno

Here’s a quick look at some of the stories that made headlines today.

1. The Shah Alam High Court, on Monday, overturned a Sessions Court ruling that awarded some RM700,000 to a businessman, who had filed a suit against Luno Malaysia Sdn Bhd for failing to safeguard the cryptocurrencies in his Luno account last year.

2. Bursa Malaysia Securities has publicly reprimanded former dealer's representative Ong Kai Boon, and fined him RM409,000 for engaging in manipulative trading activities involving shares in 11 counters.

3. US data centre company Equinix Inc announced on Monday, a RM23 million investment to acquire land in Cyberjaya, Selangor, to expand its data centre capacity.

4. Tune Protect Group Bhd has appointed How Kim Lian as its new group chief executive officer effective Monday.

5. Johor-based developer Paragon Globe Bhd is buying more land in Plentong, Johor Bahru, for RM34.96 million cash, as it looks to further enhance its presence in the state.
