KUALA LUMPUR (July 3): Computer Forms (Malaysia) Bhd (KL: CFM) said a fire broke out at its factory located at the PKNS Setapak Industrial Area, Off Jalan Genting Kelang, Kuala Lumpur on July 2.

The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations by the police are still ongoing, Computer Forms told Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, adding the incident caused no injuries.

"At this juncture, the company has yet to ascertain the full financial and operational impact due to the damage caused by the fire," it said.

"The group will render their full assistance to the investigation into the cause and source of the fire," it added.

The company is principally involved in the printing and packaging industry, which is divided into three business segments, namely business forms and data print services — which remains its main revenue contributor — commercial printing, and flexible packaging.

According to its Annual Report 2023, the factory building, which has a total land area of 823 sq m, has a net book value of RM802,523 as at Sep 30, 2023.

The group had RM1.7 million worth of property, plant and equipment as at Sept 30, 2023.

Shares of Computer Forms closed half a sen or 3.03% higher at 17 sen on Wednesday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM45.49 million.
