KUALA LUMPUR (June 24): Talent Corp Malaysian Bhd (TalentCorp) has launched the Life At Work Awards 2024 (LAWA 2024) to celebrate employers committed to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity (DEI) agenda.

Five new categories have been introduced this year, including initiatives on corporate social responsibility (CSR), technology for inclusion, environmental practices, green technology innovation as well as employee care and well-being.

“With the tagline of ‘Celebrating Excellence in DEI for Sustainable Work, Workplace, and Workforce’, LAWA 2024 is not just about recognising businesses but about celebrating the integral role that employees play in driving organisational success,” said TalentCorp Group chief executive officer Thomas Matthew.

“By emphasising sustainable talent development, we aim to create a more resilient and inclusive workforce that can adapt to the fast-changing global work landscape,” he said.

The award was launched in 2013, initially featuring three categories to celebrate women’s participation in the workforce. It has expanded to a total of 14 categories, including initiatives for diversity hiring and young graduates.

Last year, the award winners included Malayan Banking Bhd (KL:MAYBANK), Yayasan Pahang, and Pos Malaysia Bhd (KL:POS), among others.

The submission is open to all employers in Malaysia until Sept 6, 2024. The results are expected to be revealed in November this year.
