KUALA LUMPUR (June 12): Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp) has appointed DAP’s Kluang Member of Parliament (MP) Wong Shu Qi as its chairman.

Meanwhile, Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar, who has over 14 years of experience with Bank Muamalat Malaysia, has been appointed its deputy chairman, according to TalentCorp’s statement on Wednesday.

The TalentCorp board also comprises Human Resources Ministry (Kesuma) secretary general Datuk Seri Khairul Dzaimee Bin Daud,  Economy Ministry deputy secretary general (Macro) Datuk Luqman Ahmad and Finance Ministry deputy under secretary (International) Dr Emelia Fantoza Saraih. 

HR Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong welcomed the new TalentCorp chair and deputy chair and expressed hope that the newly appointed  board members will bring a fresh perspective and innovative strategies to develop Malaysia’s talent ecosystem through TalentCorp’s initiatives.

“These appointments reflect TalentCorp’s continued significance as Kesuma's strategic think tank, dedicated to attracting, nurturing, and retaining the human capital Malaysia needs to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape shaped by increasing globalisation and the demands of the Future of Work,” he said. 

TalentCorp is a Kesuma agency that drives Malaysia’s talent strategy towards becoming a dynamic talent hub.
