EVENING 5: S P Setia sells Tebrau land for RM564 mil to Syed Mokhtar-linked firm

1. S P Setia Bhd is sellings its 959.72-acre Tebrau land to a company linked to tycoon Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary for RM564 million cash.

2. A slew of businesses announced price hikes for their goods and services on Monday, with some ascribing the move to the removal of diesel subsidies in Peninsular Malaysia.

3. Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor had allegedly acquired jewellery, handbags and other luxury items purchased using 1Malaysia Development Bhd and SRC International Sdn Bhd funds worth close to US$350 million (RM1.6 billion) from 48 different vendors in at least 14 countries.

4. Bermaz Auto Bhd said its net profit fell 10.3% to RM90.2 million for its fourth quarter, dragged down by lower revenue despite higher profit contribution from associated company Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
