KUALA LUMPUR (June 4): Eye specialist service provider Optimax Holdings Bhd (KL:OPTIMAX) announced on Tuesday that it has obtained a licence from the Ministry of Health (MOH) to offer aesthetic services at its new outlet, Neumax Clinix.

Neumax Clinix, Optimax’s first full-fledged aesthetic clinic, offers a comprehensive range of services, including cosmetic injections, laser treatments, and skin rejuvenation therapy.

Located on the ground floor of Atria Mall in Damansara Jaya, the clinic occupies 3,871 square feet, providing patients with a space for consultations and aesthetic procedures, Optimax’s bourse filing said.

Optimax’s chief executive officer Sandy Tan emphasised that acquiring the licence from MOH marks the company’s maiden venture into aesthetics services.

“Over time, we observed a growing demand for aesthetic services, prompting us to establish a full-fledged aesthetic centre,” Sandy said. This strategic move not only capitalises on the rising demand but also aligns with Optimax’s diversification strategy, she noted.

Sandy added that Optimax has hired “qualified doctors and invested in certified equipment” to ensure exceptional care for its patients, adding that it aims to deliver favourable outcomes and meet patient expectations.

Optimax made its debut on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market in August 2020, before transferring its listing status to the Main Market in November 2022. The stock closed higher by one sen (1.48%) at 68.5 sen on Tuesday, resulting in a market capitalisation of RM372.16 million. Year-to-date, the stock has surged by 10.48%.
