KUALA LUMPUR (May 24): Silver Ridge Holdings Bhd (KL:SRIDGE) said on Friday its 51%-owned subsidiary has secured a contract worth RM168.83 million for construction works on the Melaka International Cruise Terminal.

The contract from Melaka International Cruise Terminal Sdn Bhd to Total SR Web 3.0 Sdn Bhd includes the provision of piling, superstructure works and mechanical and engineering services, Silver Ridge said in an exchange filing.

The job is expected to be completed over 15 months, commencing on May 24, 2024, and to be done by Aug 23, 2025.

The contract will contribute to the group's earnings per share and future earnings for the financial year ending June 30, 2025 (FY2025), Silver Ridge said.  

The remaining 49% equity interest in its subsidiary Total SR is controlled by Silver Ridge managing director and shareholder Datuk Khoo Yik Chou through Total Group Bhd.

Khoo is the founder and managing director of Total Group, according to Silver Ridge’s Annual Report 2023. Khoo directly controls a 4.89% stake in Silver Ridge.

Shares in Silver Ridge ended 1.5 sen or 4.35% higher at 36 sen, valuing the group at RM78.99 million ahead of the announcement.
