KUALA LUMPUR (May 19): OSK Property Holdings Bhd, the property arm of OSK Holdings Bhd (KL:OSK), has been focusing on expanding its land bank and has lined up projects to the tune of RM1.7 billion in gross development value for 2024.
“We have been actively looking out for land acquisition opportunities to further increase our land bank and have also been very busy working on getting the relevant approvals from the authorities to ensure that our projects are ready to be marketed,” says CEO of property development Ong Ghee Bin.
In the Klang Valley, the developer plans to unveil a new 709-unit serviced apartment project at its 27.77-acre Shorea Park development in Puchong, Selangor; launch Hana Hills, a 297-unit condominium development in Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur; and introduce a new 15.4-acre transit-oriented development, Mori Park, in Shah Alam with the launch of the first phase — Alia, which comprises 22 retail lots, 76 flexi suites and 812 serviced apartments.
Over in Kedah, OSK Property plans to introduce a new 50-acre development named Taman Lang Aman in Sungai Petani that will comprise 430 units of terraced houses, 144 units of medium- and low-medium-cost homes, a block of low-cost apartments and 22 shop offices; and launch the last phase of residential development (phase five) at its 2,500-acre Bandar Puteri Jaya township development.
The company is also aiming to launch three new upcoming phases at its Iringan Bayu landed township development in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan; and the eighth phase of its 33.4-acre Harbour Place development in Butterworth, Penang.
Negeri Sembilan-based developer Seri Pajam Development Sdn Bhd is developing its first industrial park in Senawang. CEO Thomas Ten Wee Seong says that the 523.23-acre SPD Tech Valley is “inspired and guided by 'International Guidelines for Industrial Parks' by UNIDO”. The RM3 billion development is slated to be the first LEED for Cities and Communities Gold-certified industrial park in Southeast Asia and the first managed industrial park that adheres to ESG standards in Negeri Sembilan.
As more developers embrace Industrial Building System (IBS), Rehda Youth organised an IBS-focused tour where participants are exposed to different forms of the technology. They visited IJM Corp Bhd’s (KL:IJM) IBS factory at Bestari Jaya and modular home builder Petra Modular’s manufacturing facility in Port Klang, Selangor, where they learned about modular construction and the benefits of the technology.
Over in Singapore, Newton Suites ranked highest among condos and apartments that hit a new peak in terms of price psf transacted from April 19 to 26. This was achieved with the sale of a 1,238 sq ft three-bedroom unit on the 28th floor for S$3.05 million (RM10.7 million) on April 22. The price translates into S$2,464 (RM8,635) psf.
