KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (KL:AIRPORT) on Thursday named former Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) executive chairman Dr Nungsari Ahmad Radhi as its director effective immediately.
Nungsari, an economist by training who currently sits on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s Policy Advisory Committee, is appointed as non-independent and non-executive director at Malaysia Airports, the company said in an exchange filing. He is also an independent non-executive member of Bank Negara Malaysia’s board.
Nungsari, 64, served as commissioner of Mavcom since its inception in 2015 and, subsequently as its executive chairman from July 1 2018 till April 10 2020, according to MAHB.
He has held executive positions in various Minister of Finance (Inc) companies such as Khazanah Nasional Bhd, Prokhas Sdn Bhd, Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Bhd, DanaInfra Nasional Bhd and Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Bhd.
Nungsari has also sat on the boards of various statutory and corporate entities including National Productivity Council, Majlis Amanah Rakyat, Bank Pertanian Malaysia Bhd and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd.
Shares of Malaysia Airports ended six sen or 0.58% higher at RM10.32, valuing the airport operator at RM17.22 billion.
