KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): Salcon Bhd (KL:SALCON) said Envitech Sdn Bhd, a 60%-owned subsidiary of Salcon Engineering Bhd, has been awarded a job by Rantau Urusan (M) Sdn Bhd for the design and construction of a sewerage treatment plant in Durian Sebatang, Hilir Perak, Perak.
The contract is valued at RM 9.7 million with a contract period of 20 months and will cater to a population of 54,000 upon completion, according to a statement on Thursday.
“This is the second contract secured by our subsidiary, Envitech Sdn Bhd this year and we are confident of their ability to deliver this project to a successful completion,” said Jamiluddin Amini Sulaiman, chief operating officer of Salcon Engineering, a wholly-owned unit of Salcon.
The contract includes the provision of labour and material, and is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of Salcon for the financial years ending December 31, 2024 to December 31, 2026.
