PUNCAK ALAM (March 22): Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) welcomed 10 new companies to its industrial development Eco Business Park (EBP V) on Friday at a signing ceremony event held at Eco Grandeur sales gallery in Puncak Alam, Selangor.

“This is the second signing of EBP V. Last year, EBP V held a similar event with more than 15 companies from various sectors signing to base their businesses here. Some of them have started their construction, some have started their business in EBP V now,” said EcoWorld divisional general manager Ho Kwee Hong during the event.

“I foresee our business park will successfully evolve to hubs that are capable of attracting local and international investors and fostering mutual partnership for everyone who resides in our business park,” Ho added.

At the same event, EcoWorld also signed a memorandum of understanding with Golden Home Living Co Ltd. The partnership will have Golden Home Living providing furniture for EcoWorld’s residential, commercial and industrial developments.

EBP V was launched in 2017. It has a gross development value (GDV) of RM3.5 billion and spans 769 acres. The business park consists of five phases, which are East Gate, West Gate, North Gate, Central Gate and South Gate.

The 92.3-acre South Gate, to be unveiled in 3Q2024, will cater for medium to large industries by offering industrial land and built-to-suit services.

In addition, The Rubix Space will be introduced within West Gate in mid-2024. It will have a GDV of RM60 million and features 80 ft by 80 ft units that allows for warehouse or office space purposes. The selling price starts from RM3.34 million.

Today, EBP V has attracted 400 companies. West Gate, North Gate and Central Gate are sold out while the East Gate has an occupancy rate of 90%.

“As one of EcoWorld’s four revenue pillars, Eco Business Parks contributes RM1.04 billion to the group’s total RM3.6 billion sales in FY2023. This is the highest sales that we have ever achieved with a balanced mix of ready-made factory, customised built-to-suit industrial unit and also industrial land,” said Ho.

EBP V is jointly-developed by EcoWorld and the Employees Provident Fund Board. Located in Puncak Alam, EBP V is 10 minutes' drive away from EcoWorld’s Eco Grandeur township. It has access to the Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Expressway, Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway and West Coast Expressway.
