KUALA LUMPUR (March 20): Uzma Bhd obtained a two-year contract extension from Medco Energi Thailand (Bualuang) Ltd for the provision of hydraulic worker unit (HWU) services and associated equipment service required for workover and well services activities at offshore Thailand.

The extension, set to take effect on Wednesday, will remain valid till March 19, 2026, said Uzma in a stock exchange filing on Tuesday.

This is a continuation of the first three-year contract awarded to Uzma’s wholly-owned foreign subsidiary MMSVS Group Holding Co Ltd from Medco in March 2021.

This marked Uzma's fourth contract win since the start of 2024, including a five-year supply contract for the PM3 CAA production sharing contract, in which Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd has a 35% interest; a term contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of a portable water injection module for the Sepat platform in Terengganu; and a contract to lease a water injection facility to Hibiscus’ wholly-owned SEA Hibiscus Sdn Bhd.

Shares in Uzma, which have risen 67% year to date, closed one sen or 0.8% lower at RM1.25 on Tuesday, valuing the group at RM484.04 million.
