KUALA LUMPUR (March 19): NCT Alliance Bhd is collaborating with Hard Rock International to set up Asia-Pacific’s highest altitude Hard Rock Cafe, located on the highest floor of the Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel in Genting Highlands, Pahang.
In a statement on Tuesday, the developer said that with a total gross development value of RM1.6 billion, Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel’s first phase is slated for a soft opening in the second quarter of this year.
NCT Alliance executive chairman and group managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy said additional retail space of approximately 178,000 square feet will be created to enhance this travel destination at Genting Highlands.
“The new addition of Hard Rock Cafe and the opening of Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel at Genting Highlands signifies a monumental achievement for us, as this development will be the crown jewel in our property portfolio.
“Accomplishing this ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026, by elevating the offerings in an undoubtedly thriving location that draws a high number of local and foreign visitors annually, will further boost Malaysia’s tourism sector and spur the domestic economy,” he said.
Yap said the Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel is set against the lush rainforest backdrop of the Banjaran Titiwangsa, treating its guests to the magnificent convergence of the sky, earth and sea of clouds.
He said it has 850 rooms on 50 floors, ranging from cozy studio rooms to expansive elegant suites, with a range of facilities to meet every need. Located within close proximity to Genting Skyway and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, the property is only four kilometres away from the Genting Skyworlds Theme Park and SkyAvenue.
