KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 16): MyEG Services Bhd’s (MyEG) joint venture company MYEG Philippines Inc (MYEG PH) has partnered with the Social Security System of Philippines (SSS PH) to facilitate online payment of loans and contributions.

The SSS PH is a state-run, social insurance programme in the Philippines for workers in the private, professional and informal sectors.

MYEG PH is a provider of electronic solutions specialising in online automation of government services.

“By leveraging MYEG’s expertise, the aim is to streamline payment processes, fostering the overall digital enhancement of SSS PH services,” MYEG PH and SSS PH said in a joint statement.

“The objective is to offer members a seamless and modernised experience, in line with the commitment to embrace digital innovation for the welfare of the Filipino people,“ the statement added.

Through the partnership, SSS PH members will have access to payment options via the platform www.myeg.ph, such as e-wallets, credit/debit cards, bank transfers and cash payments via over-the-counter channels.

Additionally, members will be able to generate their Payment Reference Number (PRN) on the same platform, streamlining the payment process.

Aside from the Philippines, MyEG also has operations in Indonesia, Bangladesh and China.

Shares in MyEG settled half a sen lower at 79.5 sen on Friday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM5.97 billion. The group is expected to release its fourth quarter results on Feb 27, according to Bloomberg.
