KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 15): Carimin Petroleum Bhd has received a letter of contract extension from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of integrated hook-up and commissioning (iHUC) services.

In a bourse filing on Thursday, Carimin said its unit Carimin Engineering Services Sdn Bhd (CESSB) on Nov 6, 2023 had accepted the letter to provide the services.

Carimin said the contract, which took effect on Jan 1, 2020 has expired on Dec 31, 2023.

The company said the contract shall be extended for one year and such extension shall commence from Jan 1, 2024 until Dec 31, 2024.

Carimin said terms of the contract remain largely unchanged.

The company said the scope of work for the contract shall remain intact, unchanged, and applicable as per the contract, with the following amendments:

  • Petronas Cyber Security Requirements shall be added as a new exhibit under the contract, which CESSB shall comply and adhere to at all material times for as long as the contract remains subsisting; and
  • The competencies, responsibilities and new rates for junior engineer and graduate engineer shall be added to the contract

Carimin said the contract was expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the duration of the agreement.

At the midday break on Thursday, Carimin dipped 1.58% or 1.5 sen to 93.5 sen with 165,700 shares traded.
