KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 5): Metronic Global Bhd has appointed Tengku Ab Hadi Mustafa as the building and security management system provider’s independent and non-executive chairman.
According to Metronic in a bourse filing on Monday, Tengku Ab Hadi, 54, serves as a director of Oakhurst Energy Pt Ltd, a Singapore-based company focused on oil and gas (O&G) asset acquisition.
Besides Metronic, Tengku Ab Hadi also sits on the board of TSR Capital Bhd as an executive director.
“Tengku Ab Hadi began his career as an assistant general manager in a local information technology (IT) company, Medical Online Sdn Bhd, which deals mainly in IT-health projects from the government, and was promoted to general manager within a year,” Metronic said.
“In 2002, he was appointed as a business development director in Tiaraview Management Sdn Bhd, where he was exposed to the vibrant local property and construction scenes.
“In 2007, he was appointed as the chief executive officer of South Korean company GS Holdings for their branch in Kuala Lumpur known as Phobees Sdn Bhd, which handled multi-millions worth of projects in IT and the O&G industry for the Asean region,” the company added.
Shares in Metronic ended half a sen or 25% lower at 1.5 sen on Monday, giving the counter a market capitalisation of RM22.97 million.
