KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 18): Artroniq Bhd has topped the biggest loser list on Bursa Malaysia in Thursday’s morning session, after seeing its share price tumbling further by 56.57% or 28 sen to 21.5 sen, from 49.5 sen.

The counter, which hit limit down on Wednesday (Jan 17), remains the most active stock on Bursa Malaysia at the time of writing, with a trading volume of 24.70 million shares.

This is the third consecutive day the counter has come under selling pressure, plummeting by 71.68% or 62 sen from 86.5 sen on Monday (Jan 15) to 21.5 sen on Thursday. At 21.5 sen, the group is valued at RM85.7 million. 

The group has witnessed a loss in market capitalisation of RM267.22 million over the past three trading days, down from RM352.92 million on Monday.

Meanwhile, shares of Jentayu Sustainables Bhd (JSB) have dropped over 21% or 24 sen to 90 sen, from RM1.08 after the opening bell, prompting Bursa Securities to suspend its intraday short selling until 8.30am on Friday (Jan 19).

On Wednesday, JSB was also one of the counters that hit a limit down, with its share price dropping as much as 30% or 39 sen to a three-month low of 90 sen at noon trading break.

Nonetheless, other counters linked to prominent investor Datuk Dr Yu Kuan Chon had held steady during the morning trading session.

At the time of writing on Thursday, Imaspro Corp Bhd has shown a slight rebound, increasing by 8.96% or 11 sen to RM1.34 from RM1.23. Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) has seen its share price remain unchanged at 53.5 sen, after hitting limit down for two consecutive days.

Mercury Securities, which also hit limit down on Wednesday, showed a moderate decline of 7.68% or 3.5 sen to 42 sen.
